Description

Our organic juniper berry hydrolate for aromatherapy comes from a plant of the species Juniperus communis. The product bears the name Juniper Berry organic hydrolate for aromatherapy. Systematics places the species in the Cupressaceae family. The raw material includes only fully ripe fruits, in which the scales of the female cone merge into a dense and continuous fleshy covering. At first the cones look reddish, while the ripe ones take on a blue-black color with a dense waxy bloom on the outside. The trees in Bulgaria are grown according to organic rules and remain free of synthetic agents. The ripe, unfermented fruits undergo steam distillation without the involvement of solvents, which keeps the aroma close to what the original plant raw material carries. The aqueous phase takes up the oxygenated volatile compounds, and it is precisely they that determine the aromatic direction of the liquid. The aroma reaches a strong level of intensity. The fresh pine direction receives a resinous support in the overall scent of the distillate. The composition of the volatile fraction is based mainly on monoterpene hydrocarbons such as pinene, myrcene and sabinene. The product is a clear liquid, and its color reaches pale yellow from an initially colorless state. The fruit raw material determines the faint color, since mainly colorless particles pass into the water, while the pigments remain in the fleshy covering of the cone itself. Storage
